Predicate Adjectives
Predicate Adjective - an adjective that comes at the end of the sentence but modifies (describes) the subject of the sentence.
Example: Most people are nice. ("Nice" is an adjective modifying the subject "people," but it comes after the verb in the sentence.)
Example: That chair is broken. ("Broken" modifies the subject "chair," but it comes after the verb.)
Nonexample: Stuart plays difficult games. (Even though "difficult" comes after the verb, it doesn't modify "Stuart." In this sentence, "difficult" gives more information about "games," so it is an attributive adjective.
